The Golden Globes Trend: Covering Up
Posted on January 17th, 2011
ANGELINA JOLIEThe Dress: Atelier Versace
The Color: emerald
The Verdict: Gorgeous! Angie is Hollywood's hottest modest mom. This dress gave shape to her slender frame while not looking frumpy in a dress that not even actresses her junior could come close to pulling off- she just gets better with age.
ANNE HATHAWAYThe Dress: Armani Privé
The Color:amber
The Verdict: Annoyingly perfect... & I mean that in the nicest way possible. Ms. Ella Enchanted always gets it right (thank you Rachel Zoe). This shimmering number, with eccentuated shoulders & open back, looks poured over her body & fitted to her hour-glass figure.
SANDRA BULLOCKThe Dress: Jenny Packham
The Color: pink
The Verdict: I love you Sandra, but compared to your 2010 red carpets this pales in comparison. Nonetheless, loving the bangs & your support of a non mainstream designer!
SCARLETT JOHANSSON The Dress: Elie Saab
The Color: blush
The Verdict: Nice, Sorry ScarJo- you always look effortlessly fab, but on this red carpet you were looking somewhat drab. This full- sleeved vintage style dress just didn't add that pow that we all know you have.
